October 2020 – Winner, Best Play, Haifa International Children Theatre Festival

The play My Hugo, telling the story of Noa and Hugo, her grandpa, was announced first place in the best children's play category and winner of Haifa Arts Foundation Award. All winners of the 30th Haifa International Children Theatre Festival were announced at an online ceremony, which took place on Thursday, October 15, 2020.

Music Scholarships 2020

Haifa Arts Foundation bestowed fifty scholarships to outstanding music students, ten from each of the following institutes:

  • Youval Music and Youth Orchestras Center
  • Dunie Weizman Conservatory of Music
  • The Rubin Conservatory of Music, Haifa
  • Alcarmel Music Association
  • Beat Music School

Because of the Corona virus, no ceremony took place this year.

Literature Creation Grant 2019
  • Four writers were granted by the Foundation for their literary works:
  • Susel Elisheva for "Choomi" (Prose)
  • Hannah Sequerra for " Voices From the Silent End" (Poerty)
  • Tali Amit – Kochavi for " There Are Sharks Behind the carousel" (Children literature)
  • Irit Weisman-Minkovitz for "The  Magician of Sleep" (Children literature)
Beit HaGefen. Assistance in producing Third Space exhibition

December 2018

The exhibition is the first of its kind in Israel and the flagship project of Beit Hagefen. Based on a long-term cooperation between the Education Department and Beit HaGefen's gallery, it is displayed in a specially renovated space within the building of Beit HaGefen's theater. The exhibition's artworks deal with the multiplicity of points of view and the different possibilities inherent in any joint space.

Assistance in financing student tours at the Munio Gitai Museum

May 2018

Haifa Arts Foundation assisted the Munio Gitai Museum in financing art design tutorials and tours for students of various local elementary schools—religious, secular, Arab—held at the Museum every second Friday. Thus, students are exposed to various exhibitions held in the Museum that are tailored to elementary school age.

Continued support for a calligraphy workshop

May 2018

In 2018, the Foundation continued to support the activities of the calligraphy workshop guided by artist Kamil Dow. At the workshop, the attending Jewish and Arab schools students create calligraphy art together. The workshop lasts three months, in collaboration with the educational system.

Aiding the Scout Movement's Re'im Group

May 2018

In 2018, the Foundation—through Avner Foundation—granted financial support to the Scout Movement's Re'im Group in Haifa, for the continuation of the Group's activity.

Purchasing tickets for the Haifa International Children's Theater Festival

April 2018

In 2018, the Haifa Arts Foundation helped fund about 370 tickets for the Festival's shows, for children of Haifa.

First prize at the Underwater Photographer

First prize at the Underwater Photographer of the Year was awarded to Itzik Yogev, in a ceremony that took place on 29.9.18.
Mrs. Hedva Almog, Deputy Mayor of Haifa, presented the award, on behalf of the Foundation.

Grant for producing the documentary Retirement Party.

28.09.2018

In June 2015, Haifa Arts Foundation awarded Assaf Ehrenreich a grant for producing the documentary Retirement Party.

A gala screening of the film took place at Krieger Hall on 28.09.2018, during the 2018 Haifa International Film Festival.

Fifty scholarships to outstanding music students.

11.07.2018

In a solemn ceremony that took place at Haifa City Hall's conventions hall Haifa Arts Foundation bestowed fifty scholarships to outstanding music students.

The outstanding students, managers of the centers, teachers and family members attended the ceremony.

First prize to the play " Plasticine Prince"

02.04.2018

In a ceremony that took place at Haifa Theater Hall, Haifa Arts Foundation awarded the first prize to the play " Plasticine Prince", the winner of   the Best Children's plays competition, at the     28 th Haifa International Children's Theater Festival.
